Employment Opportunities
with World-Class Researchers
Stem cell research has already proven to be an employment engine in Connecticut. When the state launched its 10-year program to support stem cell research in 2005, UConn, on its own initiative, invested more than $2 million to recruit scientists with recognized experience in human embryonic stem cell research. Their task was to establish and staff a core facility at the UConn Health Center to provide research support and train scientists how to culture stem cells.
Stem cell research funding from the State of Connecticut is expected to generate more new jobs in Connecticut. Individuals interested in stem cell-related employment opportunities at UConn and the UConn Health Center should reference this site regularly for job postings.
